Kids Cross Country Ski Programmes
Whether it is your child’s first time on the snow or they are a competitive cross-country racer, the Snow Farm kids programmes are the perfect way for your child to have a ton of fun, make friends, and develop new skills.
Learning to cross-country ski opens up a whole new side to skiing; one that promotes a healthy lifestyle, respect for the alpine environment and freedom from the ski lifts. We guarantee your kids will look forward to every session and will quickly become confident skiers ready to explore the trails at the Snow Farm.

A 6-week weekend programme aimed at primary school-aged kids. The focus is on having fun and developing skills through games and ski-play. Kids will learn both classic and skate techniques and will experience some low-key competition with an emphasis on participation and having fun. Each day consists of two sessions separated by a small lunch break.
This programme builds young skiers into successful cross-country ski racers. The programme is divided into two teams. The senior team will focus on training and peaking for key events like the Merino Muster and the Kangaroo Hoppet. The junior team will focus on developing their skills and fitness. The two teams will primarily practice together with some separate practices as well. There may be other scheduled sessions outside of normal practice time, to be announced during winter. Any secondary-school aged kids who want to develop their skills and fitness to a competitive level and have more time on the snow are encouraged to join.
