ADULT PROGRAMS THIS WINTER AT SNOW FARM NZ

This winter at Snow Farm we have a range of New Programs for anyone from beginner to advanced skiers. We have multiple programs running on weekends and you can pick and choose what will work for your schedule.

Snow Farm has made a significant investment this winter in a brand new fleet of the latest Salomon Skating Equipment. Skating is humorously referred to as Classic skiing’s (where you use grip under the foot like touring skis to get forward momentum) sexy alternative.

Skating is faster and gives you more control on downhills than classic skiing. For those of you who like to moonlight at alpine ski areas or come from an alpine skiing background, you should definitely give skating a try.

All of our weekend and 3 day programs have an early bird special price for bookings before the 31st of May!

FIRST TIME TO SNOW FARM AND CROSS COUNTRY SKIING

If this is your first season at Snow Farm this winter or if you classic skied last winter and want to try skating, we have an exclusive offer for the month of June. All Seasons pass holders are able to join one of our introductory classic of skate lessons, for free! Just follow the link below to book in for your free introductory lesson. use the promo code seasonspass19 when you book.

This is a great way to learn the basics of either discipline, an introductory lesson is a prerequisite for any of our 3 day and weekend learn to classic and skate programs. Not sure what skating and classic skiing is? Then check out our Adults program page on the Snow Farm website for more information.

BEGINNER TO INTERMEDIATE SKIERS

For those of you who have skied at Snow Farm before or have completed one of our introductory lessons, we have two 4 session weekend clinics and several clinics that run for 3 consecutive weeks. We have both Classic and Skating clinics for both and these are aimed at both getting you up and going in both classic and skate skiing.

LADIES PROGRAMS

Returning this year in a new format is the Ladies Tuesday program. The Ladies Tuesday program. This year the program runs for 3 consecutive Tuesdays the first program starts on the 25th of June and the second starts on the 23rd of July. This program is a fun and sociable way to learn cross country skiing and explore the trails at Snow Farm.

For Beginners, we offer both learn to skate and learn to classic in the first session, as well as an intermediate classic for those who participated in last years program.

In the second session, we will be offering a Learn to Skate as well as an intermediate skate and intermediate classic to progress participants who completed the first session.

New this year is our Saturday Skate Girls Boot Camp starting on June 22nd. This is a more intensive version of our ladies Tuesdays program and will be designed to push you both technically and physically. It is only for first-time skaters and will take you from never having skated before to comfortably being able to navigate beginner and some intermediate Snow Farm trails.

EXPERIENCED SKIERS

If you have been at Snow Farm for the past few winters and want to refine your technique or get some more help with something specific, we have a selection of programs for you to choose from.

On Saturdays, we have technique clinics from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm for just $20.00 per session, these can be booked now and the cut off time is 4:00 pm the Friday before the Saturdays session. We have a focus of each session to help you choose what you might want to learn and work on.

If you are thinking about doing the Merino Muster, on Sunday’s from 9:00 am to 10:00 am and from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm we will have The Musterers. Your coach will work with you in whichever time slot suits you best. You can communicate to the coach which sessions you will be attending. Technique coaching is in a group environment, but the coach will spend time with you individually outside of the clinic to help define your goals and train towards the Muster.
